What Is LIMS
LIMS stands for Landscape Irrigation Monitoring System. It has been created to allow you the ability to easily monitor your landscape water use compared to the state-wide standard BMP5 or your local water provider’s recommendation or requirement.

LIMS can help you save water and money by more closely monitoring use before water bills arrive. LIMS helps answer your question:

"How are we doing landscape-water-wise?"

How LIMS Works

  1. LIMS first determines your site's landscape water requirements based on the irrigated area and BMP5 or your local water provider’s requirement.
  2. You can then enter the usage shown on your water bills or your own water meter readings.
  3. Based on usage, LIMS calculates what was applied and what should have been applied. This is a great way to objectively determine if your landscape was over or under irrigated during any period for which you have meter readings.
  4. LIMS also provides irrigation controller percentage adjustment recommendations based on real time weather information (ETo) from the California Department of Water Resources CIMIS program. Keeping controllers fine tuned due to changes in the weather saves water – and money!
